Arista Psychiatry & Psychotherapy's clinical supervisor and founder, Dr. Judith Gurfein is a dedicated, caring psychologist and psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 25 years of experience. She specializes in psychiatric medication management and evaluations for adults and children. She has extensive training in substance abuse treatment and offers comprehensive outpatient substance abuse services to patients with addiction issues. Dr. Gurfein also offers psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and trauma informed psychotherapy to individuals. Additionally, she has expereince and extensive trainings in marriage and family therapy services. Dr. Gurfein teaches and supervises psychiatric residents, marriage counselors and family therapists. She is an assistant clinical professor at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine and practices in Manhattan, New York and Bergen County, New Jersey.
